Newton Presbyterian Manors offers numerous ways to nurture one’s faith

Living up to its status as a faith-based organization, Newton Presbyterian Manor is dedicated to providing all of its residents—regardless of religious affiliation—the opportunity to celebrate their beliefs and grow in their faith. To help, the community offers numerous weekly, monthly and annual programs organized at a variety of on-campus locations.

The following is just a sample of some of the programs available to Newton Presbyterian Manor residents, staff, and members of the greater Newton community.

Mondays: Sing along to hymns performed by Eleanor Myers

Tuesdays: Women’s Bible Study/Men’s Bible Study (library)

Wednesdays: Two opportunities to pray the Rosary (1 p.m. in Haury Place and 1:30 p.m. in the Assisted and Independent Living Chapel)

Thursdays: Hymn Singing and Bible Study (9 a.m., Utz/Klaassen residents; 9:30 a.m., Haury residents; 10 a.m., Anderson Place residents; 10:30 a.m., Kalb Villa/Independent residents)

Fridays: Campus-wide Weekly Worship Service (10:30-11:15 a.m., Chapel)

In addition to these weekly programs, the community also offers a devotional and communion service on the first week of each month and a memorial service on the second Friday of each month to remember those members of the Newton Presbyterian Manor family who had passed away the previous month.

Also, be sure to mark your calendars for the Annual Bible Study Christmas Program from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 6, in the Main Dining Room and a special presentation of a “Christmas Musical” on Friday, December 23.
