  • Marc Kessinger

    Executive Director


    Marc was named executive director of Newton Presbyterian Manor in May 2011 after completing the administrator in training program at Wichita Presbyterian Manor in 2010 and joining us as interim executive director in February 2011. Prior to that time, he had a 30-year career in banking which included nine years as president of the Mid-America Bankcard Association. Marc has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Wichita State University and holds an adult care administrator’s license. He is a member of St. Catherine’s of Siena Church and the Newton Kiwanis Club.

  • Noelle Dickinson

    Marketing Director


    Noelle joined Newton Presbyterian Manor in June 1998. She previously served seven years as alumni director at Tabor College, Hillsboro, Kansas. She also spent a year in Osaka, Japan, teaching English as a second language for Mennonite Brethren Missions/Services. Noelle has a bachelor’s degree in English/communications and a bachelor’s degree in business administration/economics from Tabor College. She is a Leadership Newton graduate and past member of the Newton Area Chamber of Commerce board and executive committee. She currently serves on the Salvation Army advisory board and has completed a 3-year term on the Newton YMCA advisory board. She and her husband have enjoyed working in their church, teaching Sunday school and leading worship, and they are currently sponsors for the 5th and 6th grade youth group, Zone56.

  • Tara Stewart

    RN, Director of Nursing


    Tara was named director of nursing in July 2019. She has been at Newton for more than 6 years, starting as a charge nurse, then working as Quality Assurance nurse and most recently MDS nurse while adding the assistant DON role to her daily tasks. She earned her LPN from Hutchinson Community College and her RN from Pratt Community College while working at Presbyterian Manor. Tara started her career in nursing in a traumatic brain injury unit in a rehabilitation hospital in Great Barrington, Mass.

  • Anita Fenwick

    RN, Assisted Living Director


    Anita joined Presbyterian Manor in December 2014 as a charge nurse in health care. She became Assisted Living Director nine months later. She has 20 years of experience in the health care field, working as a surgical nurse, cardiac nurse, clinical supervisor, wound care nurse, charge nurse and Medicare nurse. She received her nursing degree from Hesston College. Anita enjoys landscaping and flower gardening, reading, and DIY home projects.

  • Renee Hamm

    Apple-A-Day Preschool Director


    Renee has been with Newton Presbyterian Manor since September 1997. She previously served as preschool teacher before being named preschool director in May 2006. Prior to joining Presbyterian Manor, Renee taught school in the Halstead and Newton public school districts. She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary and early childhood education from Bethel College and is a licensed teacher by the state of Kansas for early childhood through grade nine. Renee is a member of Newton High School Athletic Booster Club and serves as treasurer of Sunset Elementary Parent/Teacher Organization in Newton. She also serves on Nurture (Education) Commission at First Mennonite Church in Newton.

  • Laura Stewart

    Social Services Director


    Laura joined the Presbyterian Manor staff in 2013 in activities, and she joined social services a year later. She was named social services director in January 2017. She is a licensed bachelor of social work, is certified in Behavior Based Ergonomics (BBET) therapy and is a BBET trainer, is a certified nurse’s aide and is certified in activities. She facilitates the monthly FOCUS caregiver support group. She graduated from Bethel College in 2010 with a Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker degree and a minor in Peace, Justice and Conflict studies. Prior to joining Presbyterian Manor, she worked for three years for an organization placing foster children and working with the foster home licensing process in south central Kansas.

  • Duane Unruh

    Environmental Services Director


    Duane was named environmental services director in August 2019. He has 34 years of experience in the health care industry, and has worked at Presbyterian Manor for the past two years. He graduated from Bethel College with degrees in Industrial Arts and Agriculture. He has served many years as trustee at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church in Goessel and has volunteered for the Goessel Fire Department for 37 years. In his free time, Duane enjoys participating in music and sporting events with his family, singing in the church choir, watching sports and keeping the family’s vehicles, homes and equipment operational. He and his wife Karen have three sons, three daughters-in-law and two grandchildren.

  • Marc Fitzroy

    Dining Services Director


    Marc joined Presbyterian Manor in August 2014. He is a member of the Association of Nutritional and Foodservice Professionals (ANFP), and graduated from the University of North Dakota Dietary Manager Program as a Certified Dietary Manager/Certified Food Protection Professional. A self-professed home-style cook, Marc has worked in dining services in two area senior living communities as well as in local restaurants.

  • Melinda Ebersole

    Life Enrichment Director


    Melinda rejoined Newton Presbyterian Manor in February 2011 as life enrichment director after serving two years in a similar position at Asbury Park. But in fact her first job with Presbyterian Manor was in 1995 when she joined Arkansas City Presbyterian Manor as a certified nursing assistant. She also previously worked at the Newton Presbyterian Manor in 2008 as administrative assistant. Melinda studied business administration at Cowley County College in Arkansas City, Kansas, and at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas. She is a certified nursing assistant and certified medication aide, activity director/social services designee, and a member of the Kansas Activity Directors Association. She is also a member of Newton Presbyterian Manor’s celebrations committee.

  • Jerroll Martens



    The Rev. Jerroll Martens joined Newton Presbyterian Manor in August 2009. He previously served 33 years as pastor of several churches with one pastorate. He also has experience as a social services case worker and supervisor. Rev. Martens received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in religion from Bob Jones University. His mission work over the years has included visits to foreign countries, and he continues to serve on an advisory board of an organization with missionaries in many countries.

  • Emily Trask

    Human Resource Director


    Emily joined Presbyterian Manor in October 2017 as human resource director. She most recently worked for two years as manager of substitute programs for the Wichita school district. She also has experience working in health care as a certified nurse assistant (CNA) and in medical records and central supply as well as social services. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in human resource management from Fort Hays State University and is in the PHR (Professional Human Resources) prep course at Southwestern College. She is a certified social services designee.

  • Valerie Robbins

    Accounting Assistant


    Valerie joined Presbyterian Manor in December 2016 and was named accounting assistant in May 2018. Prior to joining the team, she worked in retail. She’s working toward a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus in accounting. She and her husband have three children, a dog and two cats.
