FOCUS (Families or Caregivers Under Stress) For caregivers who are struggling with effects of Alzheimer’s/memory loss, this group meets for education, mutual support and problem-solving the first Thursday of every month, at 7:00 p.m. in the Newton Presbyterian Manor Library. Co-facilitators are Dr. Wendell Wiens and Helen Brown, licensed baccalaureate social worker.
Adult Day Services Whether a break is needed for an afternoon of shopping, a doctor’s appointment or just a nap at home, caregivers can tap into the Adult Day Services program in Anderson Place. Guests join residents for outings or daily programming, giving caregivers a needed break.
Respite Services Caregivers can schedule a weekend or up to a month away while their loved one is well taken care of in the Anderson Place setting.
